I started this painting during our first week of the Stay Home Order issued by Governor Jay Inslee for Washington state. Not in my wildest dreams would I have believed that we’d still be “at home” more than three months later.
This piece represents the worry, the weariness, and also a hopefulness that we will pull through this together.
Full disclosure- though baptized a Catholic I am not active in any church. I have faith in a higher power, live by the golden rule, and respect the many who do worship. For all of us, whether you believe in God or Dog, please let’s look out for one another and listen to the science as well as our faith.
Wear a mask, wash your hands, don’t touch your face, and love your neighbors.
